BASIC Plus SCANNING: This is a high resolution scan of
5 megapixels (2000 dpi) explain resolution?
(equivalent to very high end home digital cameras). Focus and
lighting are automatically calibrated during the scan process, and the
images are oriented correctly. This option is good for viewing images
on computer or TV screens, printing sizes up to 8x10, and archiving
slides in a high quality, economical way. Digital ICE4™What
is this?, a powerful dust and scratch removal system, is applied to
each image. Compare a sample image to the same
slide scanned without DigitalICE - notice that DigitalICE4 removed
most of the dust but a few pieces still remain. DigitalICE4 is good
but not perfect.
This level of scanning does not include any manual color
correction or lighting correction by our digital artists and it does
not include cropping so there may be some black borders on the sides
of the image. Color correction and cropping are included at the Deluxe
Scanning level.
