run each image through Digital ICE4™,
DigitalROC™, DigitalGEM and DigitalDEE™.What
are these? These programs remove most of the dust and film scratches,
correct for the effects of film grain, and restore faded color and correct
shading in shadow areas of the image. Our digital artists
review each image and correct for color range and over/underexposure.
The image is cropped so that there are no black borders around your
image. This option allows printing up to 16x20 or 20x30. There are two
differences between this and the Pro Scan. The Pro Scan is done at a
higher resolution and, more importantly, the Pro Scan includes manual
spotting. This is a very time consuming process by which a digital artist
looks at every image and skillfully removes the remaining dust and scratches
that the Digital ICE may have missed.
