F.A.Q. - 120/220 Film Scanning

Q. Do I have to mark which side is the emulsion side of the film or do you guys do that?

A. We check each frame of 120 film that we scan to make sure that the emulsion side of the film is facing the correct way in the scanner. Your images will not be flipped.

Q. I have some loose frames of 120 film and some mounted as large 120 format slides. Is there any difference in cost for scanning these mounted or unmounted?

A. No, we can scan both types and there is no difference in price.

Q. I don't plan on printing these large at all do I need anything about the lowest 6MP scan?

A. No, in your case I would suggest staying with that. If you wanted to print these images as 11x14 or 16x20 or larger you would probably want higher resolution.

Q. Can I use the images to print photos or email to friends?

A. A CD-Rom of your jpeg images from us is just like having a CD-Rom of some jpegs you made with your digital camera. There are no copy protections or restrictions on how you can use the images. You can put them on your computer from the CD-Rom and edit them, email them, print them, or use one as your screensaver.

Q. How do I pay for services? Do I send a check with the order?

A. Don't send any payment with the order. After we receive your package we will count the frames and calculate a bill. We will contact you via email with a billing statement. You can either mail a check to:
