127 Format Slides (AKA SuperSlides), are more difficult to scan and take more time and care than standard 35mm slide scanning. Therefore the price is slightly higher for this type of slide scanning than it is for standard 35mm slides.

If you have 127 Super Slides be careful where you get it scanned. Most slide scanning services use only the Nikon 5000 film scanner. We use this type of scanner for standard 35mm slide scanning because it is the best 35mm slide scanner available. The problem is that the Nikon 5000 can only scan the small rectangular area of film on a standard 35mm slide. When you put 127 format slides into a Nikon 5000 it clips the top and bottom of the picture often cutting off the heads of the subjects in the picture. We use a different scanner for scanning 127 superslides. This takes more time on our part but it gives you the full image and you don't have to settle for two thirds of your precious picture.
