CD-Roms and DVD-Roms are data disks that contain your images as computer files. These disks provide you with digital images from your slide scanning that you can use on your computer similar to getting digital images from a digital camera. The CD-Rom can hold around 300 jpeg images. A DVD-Rom can hold about 5 times as many images as a CD-Rom. If you have a small order of 250 slides you would request 1 CD-Rom. If you have 600 slides you would need 2 CD-Roms to hold your image files. If you have an order over 1000 slides you may want to consider using 1 DVD-Rom instead of having several CDs. The number of images per disk will vary depening on if you ask for Pro 35mm slide scanning, Deluxe 35mm slide scanning or Standard 35mm slide scanning

A DVD slideshow is a DVD-Movie for use in a DVD player. The DVD-Slideshow is written as one large movie file, similar to a DVD of your favorite movie. Because of this you can't get the individual images from this disk, so if you order a slideshow from your 35mm slides we suggest that you also order a data disk, CD or DVD-Rom so that you can make prints of your slides, email photos to friends and use your images in other ways.
